We are a county-wide telephone and web enquiry service for all children who:

  • Live in Staffordshire.
  • Are aged from pre-birth to 18 years old.

Have you got a serious concern about the safety of a child or young person up to the age of 18?

Do you think a child or young person is being harmed or is at risk of being harmed?

Are you worried that a child is living in circumstances where they are treated badly and not cared for properly?

If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions and you don’t believe that the child or young person is being supported by an allocated worker, please contact the First Response Service immediately.

Other Forms of Support

House of Bread is an organisation that offers a home-cooked meal for homeless and vulnerable people

We run House of Bread out of a church kitchen in the centre of Stafford. Each week our volunteers take turns to cook a hot, home-cooked meal for guests, who grow in numbers every week. Fantastic homely meals aren't the only thing on the HOB menu; friendship, support, advice and someone to listen are available to all our visitors, or as we like to call them our friends. Ask any of our visitors and they will tell you, it isn't a house that makes a home; it's the family inside it.

A Prayer for us all at these times

Merciful God,

come to the help of your people.

Be our shelter in this time of peril

and strengthen the bonds of our community.

Bring healing to all who suffer the ravages of disease

and assist those whose skill and art can put an end to this affliction.

Through Christ our Lord.

Amen.
